I already told you to stop saying stupid stuff, and I could have sworn I told you to shut up.

In response to your post, here's your last chance to be smart:

Which one of the following games did Boise State win on account of the other team having a schedule that was too tough?
quote:

9/7/6: Boise State 42, Oregon State (10-4) 14
- Oregon State’s previous: vs. Eastern Washington
- Oregon State’s next: vs. Idaho (4-8)

1/1/7: Boise State 43, Oklahoma (11-3) 42
- Oklahoma’s previous: month off
- Oklahoma’s next: end of season

9/8/7: Boise State 10, Washington (4-9) 24

9/20/8: Boise State 37, Oregon (10-3) 22
- Oregon’s previous: @ Purdue (4-8)
- Oregon’s next: @ Washington State (2-11)

9/3/9: Boise State 19, Oregon (10-3) 8
- Oregon’s previous: none
- Oregon’s next: Purdue (5-7)

1/4/10: Boise State 17, Texas Christian (12-1) 10
- TCU’s previous: month off
- TCU’s next: end of season

9/6/10: Boise State 33, Virginia Tech (11-3) 30
- VT’s previous: none
- VT’s next: James Madison

9/25/10: Boise State 37, Oregon State (5-7) 24
- Oregon State’s previous: Louisville (7-6)
- Oregon State’s next: Arizona State (6-6)
I really want to know the answer.

Yes or no: Do you believe that Phil Steele's formula measures OVERALL SOS? In other words, do you believe that Clemson has the toughest SOS in the nation?

If boise did luck into a win there, do you think yall could turn around and win in death valley the next week? Then play Florida, followed by Georgia?

Boise might win this game. Boise could open the year with last year's national champion for the next 10 years and go 10-0, and it still wouldn't' change the fact that getting up for one, MAYBE 2 big games a year is absolutely in no way comparable to getting up for 6-8 big games a year like we do in the SEC.

Sorry to butt in, but that's irrelevant. It's not BSU's problem if some other teams bite off more than they can chew.

If you and I are in a deadlift contest, and you try to lift 900lbs and fail, and I just lift the bar, I win. Period.

If the SEC is too tough for some teams, that's just not Boise State's problem.

But what about secondary/ LB's

We lost our top LB before the Nevada game and it was felt.

He's back and healthy for this season. Glad you brought that up because that's another reason to feel this team will be improved from the end of last season.

quote:

receving core?

Will be a 6 to 7 player rotation, which is more actually typical at BSU. That makes it hard for the DC to key in on one or two top wide outs.

It is a ? mark. Lost two top WR to the NFL last year.

quote:

I'm betting they will be.

why?

I left out that recruiting improves every single season. The younger players each year keep taking the team to a new level. This year will be no different.

But tell you what. If they are as good as they were last year, I will be ecstatic. They were a choked field goal away from the Rose Bowl.

These coaches are ridiculous on how they can keep making the teams so good each year.

what ya gonna do?

how about all of them. You don't seem to get it. They play no one.

Oregon St. in '06 played-

USC, Stanford, Oregon, Missouri

Oklahoma in '07 played-

Miami (U.), Texas, Missouri, Texas AM,
Texas Tech, Cal, OK State, Missouri, West Va.

Washington in '07 played-

Ohio St, USC, Cal, Oregon, Stanford.

Oregon in '09 played-

Utah, Cal, USC, Stanford, Oregon St., Ohio St.

TCU in '10 played-

Oregon St, Utah, Wisconsin, Baylor

Oregon State in '10 played-

TCU, Arizona, USC, Stanford, Oregon

Now let's look at Boise's schedules

in '06 Boise played-

Oregon St, Utah, Oklahoma

in '07 Boise played-

no one of note

in '08 Boise played-

Oregon, TCU

in '09 Boise played-

Oregon, TCU

in '10 Boise played-

VT, Oregon St, Nevada, Utah

the results are pretty damning

I don't know. It'd be an a$$ kicker and I'm not going to say they'd be able to do it.

However, if they were playing that schedule, they could drop a game and still make the NC.

They would not have to go undefeated for the past 4 years to get a sniff at the NC like they do right now.

Virginia Tech was a choked first quarter away from derailing your season even further.

Good God do you wear rose colored glasses.

You guys lost way too much to be a top 15 team.

Not really. It's hard even for an SEC team to do that.

Could they drop 3-4? No.

Boise is a good football team and you'll never hear me argue otherwise. However, they are absolutely NOT a great team or an elite team or deserving of a national title until they actually play more than 2 hard teams in a year.

how about all of them.
So what you're saying here is that:
- In week 1 2006, Boise State beat Oregon State by 28 because OSU's schedule was too tough? SOS was worth 29 points that day? Eight months was not enough time for Oregon State to prepare for the game?
- On New Year's Day 2007, Boise State beat Oklahoma because Oklahoma's schedule, which had been completed 27 days earlier, was too tough?
- In September 2008, Boise State beat Oregon by 15 because Oregon's schedule (during which the Ducks lost only two other games) was too tough? SOS was worth 16 points in that game?
- In September 2009, Boise State beat Oregon by 11 because Oregon's schedule (during which the Ducks lost only one other game) was too tough? SOS was worth 12 points in that game?
- In the 2010 Fiesta Bowl, Boise State beat undefeated TCU by 7 because TCU's schedule, which the Frogs had completed over a month earlier, was too tough?
- In week one last year, Boise State beat Virginia Tech because VT's schedule was too tough? They went undefeated in their conference--how tough could it have been? Eight months wasn't enough time to prepare for BSU?
- Three weeks later, Boise State beat Oregon State by 13 because OSU's schedule was too tough? SOS was worth 14 points that day?

quote:

You don't get it.
Here's what you don't get: When Team A beats Team B, it's almost always because Team A is better than Team B.

Boise State beats these teams because Boise State is better than these teams.

It can be safely assumed that most, if not all, of the following statements are true:
1. Boise State was better than at least eight Pac-10 teams every team in the Big 12 in 2006.
2. Boise State was better than at least nine Pac-10 teams in 2008.
3. Boise State was better than every team in the Pac-10 and MWC in 2009.
4. Boise State was better than every team in the ACC in 2010.

you don't get it do you? It's all about SOS. You guys don't play anyone. It's easy to play hard one week. Can you at least admit if you played in a real conference you would lose quite a few games.

quote:

Boise State beats these teams because Boise State is better than these teams.

hell no. Better on that day maybe but 8/10 times Boise loses some of those games.
