A friend in L.A. called to say the bigger radio sports talk shows out there were running tapes of PF's worst callers, re-cycling them every hour practically.

I find this hard to believe. Having lived in NYC for more than half m life I can tell you each region has its own trashy call in show. Auburn / Alabama is special but there's a lot of trash that care about Jets / Patriots.

Retarded sports callers are like craft IPA's - each region has their own twist.

That being said, the people that will be watching will be people from the south for the most part.

I agree with I-59. I can appreciate some of that mess as comic relief but I don't see it going over so well in the SEC Network venue. The calls need to be screened more closely in favor of some signal indicating a wee bit of intelligence and diversity. JMO.

Obviously none of you have taken a look at non-sports television lately. Here's what sells and brings in the money:

Honey Boo Boo
Dance Moms
Duck Dynasty
Pawn Stars
etc.
etc.

The vast majority of America, aka the eyeballs ESPN is looking for to pay the bills, don't GAS about X's and O's, but they'll tune in to this. Eyeballs=Ratings=Ads=$$$

This was never about rational, well though out sports reporting. It's about pablum-puking "sports programming" and the idiots out here who are going to lap it up. Deal with it!
