Seriously what's a higher ranking get you?

A yeah, a Cotton Bowl trophy, still doesn't erase 31-23 from the books.
I understand winning is a new & difficult concept for Hog fans but sheesh.

quote:Not sure about your calculations here since Arkansas is the ONLY SEC team to EVER lose to OSU.
Both beat A&M, both did/would lose to OSU = tie
Arkansas beat LSU = tiebreaker = fairest way to determine strength of these two teams

Guys don't make fun of Arkansas being the only SEC team to lose bowl game against OSU. We are obviously butthurt. I would so much rather be in Arkansas' shoes right now just because they beat us last year. I mean, think of all the SEC and National Championships they don't have. Think of how many 11 win seasons they've never had or how poorly they represent the SEC out of conference (70-17 to USC, anyone?) We are so jealous it hurts and that is why we say mean things to the piggies.

way to keep it factual
One of your comrades said LSU would beat OSU, and therefore is better than Arkansas. LSU isn't good enough to play OSU in the Sugar Bowl, so I simply stated that it was most probable that the higher ranked, better overall team that could beat Arkansas, the team who soundly beat LSU, would also beat LSU.
Personally, I don't want to have to go to the OSU game to prove who's better; that's what some of you are doing when I just want to point to the scoreboard of our actual game.

nah we understand you guys just want to be our rival, I mean, if I was in a league for over 80 years still didn't have a true rival I'd be longing for one also. At least we had one in the SWC.

man it says a lot about the state of LSU football when they are bragging about rankings that have absolutely no meaning whatsoever if it's not #1.
