These rematch arguments are garbage.

LSU would have to beat the same #2 team twice along with 2 other top 5 teams - plus 5 additional ranked opponents to claim the title? Including an SEC championship game.

Bama has to win out and wait for other teams to lose then defeat LSU once to claim the title?

The voters won't do it for EXACTLY the reasons above. If OU defeats OK State, I think they leapfrog and play for the Title.

And for simple reasons: LSU already beat Oregon and Bama.

Yeah, this is what is ridiculous. Bama fans want LSU to be punished for losing. And this whole LSU and Bama are the two best teams stuff, OSU has a lot to say about that. They haven't lost a game Bama, so quit trying to fudge your way to the throne. You lost, you are out unless LSU loses to Arkansas, but even in that case LSU won't drop below UO or Bama so Bama is out either way.

The only way for the world to explode is this scenario: LSU loses to Ark, Ark loses to UGA, Bama beats AU, OSU loses to OU, Clemson wins out, UO wins out and Houston wins out. Then you'd have mass hysteria. The sec champion would be ranked lower than 2 other SEC teams, maybe 3 since USCe beat UGA, there would be two one loss B12 teams, UO as conference champ but with a loss to a team right next to them in the rankings that they should be ranked behind, a strong closing Clemson, and an undefeated UH. The computers and voters would blow up or die.
