Correct. As did Lee Roy Jordan (pretty crazy for a defensive player to finish fourth back then). Palmer was still our first in the top 3. I remember it being kind of a big deal then. At the time, I didn’t really think Alabama would ever win a Heisman. I know it sounds crazy now, but I didn’t think the national media respected us.
