How many more times this decade do you think the Hogs will get the #1 ranked defending champs at home with - they feel - a legit shot at winning?

i dunno, but calling it the game of at the start of a decade is a bit much.

The fact that it's #1 coming to town isn't what has people excited as much as a chance to gain respect with the nation watching. Hopefully there will be more chances for that down the line, although it certainly would be nice here.

Not near as bad as it would us. I think our fans will be the ones to go into meltdown if we lose to Arkansas.

It's way too early to try to be picking how many teams will finished unbeaten. I think the odds are a 1-loss SEC champ makes it in.
I don't know, they seem to be pushing the idea of a undefeated TCU or Boise State getting in. tOSU and Oregan both have a really good shot at doing it too. 1 loss by Bama could be much more devastating than Arky going down to Bama. It's not something they would worry about immediately, but as the season drew to a close.
With that said, Bama is going to blitzkrieg the pigges.

Everybody gets a week off correct? So what if the other 7 SEC teams say we chickened out before them by taking that week off. Remember this we have played 7 weeks straight before we get LSU..

Think that has anything to do with the #1 ranked defending champs?

A Hog win would suck, but wouldn't destroy Bama's goals for the season.
However, it seems that this may be the game of the decade for the Hogs and their fans.
If Bama rolls them hard, what happens to the Hogs and their callers the rest of the season?
I won't deny this isn't a big game for the hogs. Anytime a team plays the #1 ranked team in the nation its a big game for that program.
But most Arkansas fans circled this game as a probable loss. Why would you expect it hurt our Psyche?
On the other hand, if Bama loses it would be much moe hurtful to Bama's psyche because ya'll expect to win easy.
It wouldn't destroy your goal but it would take away your ability to control your own destiny.
Think about it. If Bama is really as great as most of ya'll think it is and the Hogs beat them, wouldn't that show Arkansas is going to be a force to reckon with this year. Or are ya'll so overrated that it wouldn't mean anything?
And just for the record I expect Bama but I'm optimistic the Hogs play inspired football and produce the upset. I do think it will be a good game and will be close at least up until the 4th quarter.

It's the first time since '79 that two top 10 teams have played each other in Arkansas. How did that season turn out? Another BAMA National Title beating Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl.

SEC Champs & BCS.
The Hogs were too close to losing to UGA to have a real shot at the west. They may play out of their minds and beat Bama, but the hogs will lose at least 2 SEC games.
If Bama makes it through with 1 SEC loss, they will be going to Atlanta...belie dat.
Dude you can't be this dumb. Unbelievable

Admitingly, I was just quoting what rolled across the ticker yesterday. Do you recall who it was in '79 and '06? I don't really follow alot of Ark. football.

Arkansas was #5 and LSU was #9 in Little Rock in '06, Arkansas/Houston in '79 was the last top 10 matchup in Fayetteville.
