Nothing wrong with supporting HS athletics, especially when it is played at a high level. Many communities (both small and large) in Texas revolve around their HS sports teams.
As for me, I only really watch the Championships. If for no other reason in Texas it is a lock you are going to see some elite level prospects playing. The Allen/Pearland game probably had 15 kids between the 2 teams that will play at the next level.
