When has a Kirby Smart coached team blown out an opponent with similar talent? It took him a miracle to win against a Mississippi State team missing 40 scholarship players.
That said, I am hoping we keep it close. I doubt it will be a blowout by either side.

This is UGAs best team ever. If they can't beat Clemson this year Kirby will never become a top tier HC.

Don't you put that evil on us TR! FWIW some incredibly talented Bama teams have lost a few games to teams worse than Clemson....and I'd put Saban in the top tier HC category.

Agreed. I think one of the keys to looking at is how each QB handles the blitz. Venables will come after the QB from every possible direction and will do it the entire game. With it being so early in the season I think this is the biggest area that will impact the game. Dabo was able to play DJ and lot and nearly beat a good ND team in it's yard in OT.
Clemson tends to play up or down to it's competition and I feel pretty good about this game. God help UGA if we jump on them early.
