So, this should be taught by coaches, but it should also be common sense. Let me show just one scenario that shows why the Hogs lost.

Darrion Williams made a layup at 3:21, there is a time out, Johnell Davis misses a 3 point shot at 3:11 (10 seconds) then the Hogs got the rebound at 3:08 and DJ shoots up another 3 pointer at 3:02 (6 sec. into the shot clock)

So, that could have been ONE MINUTE of shot clock used up, or 56 seconds, minus the 16 seconds taken off, that is 40 seconds wasted.
