I take more offense to the OP than I should because I know how Fayetteville stacks up against most other college towns.
Its been raining here. SOME of the bars are probably not open by 1pm. But I was on Dickson last night. There were at least 5 places with live music outside. Rogue, Jose's, Wasabi, and Georges all had bands outside, within 3 blocks of each other. Several other places had bands inside. Most of the bars were packed by 10pm. The students don't get out in force until 10:30 or so, since the bars close at 2:00.
Tailgating probably isn't very strong today but its been raining and misting all day so far. Its soaked out there.

One my one visit to Fayetteville years ago, I thought the Devil's Ice Box (a cave near Fayetteville was sort of neat).

WRT, I really hesitate to correct a real football expert like yourself, BUT Houston Nutt didn't win 3 SECW titles, Arkansas has won 3, one of those by Coach Danny Ford.
