1. QB Joe Milton III, Tennessee
It couldn't be anyone else. Milton gets a third chance to become a star after misfiring at Michigan in 2020 and Tennessee in 2021, and whether he succeeds or fails -- whether Tennessee becomes a potential Georgia or Alabama spoiler or an outright SEC favorite -- we'll know why

I wouldn’t classify 2021 a misfire. He got hurt and Hooker got his chance and never looked back. As much as I hate Pruitt, he is just as much responsible for Hooker coming to UT as Heupel is. Heupel didn’t recruit Hooker and he was committed to UT when Heupel was hired. However, he did recruit Milton to UT.
Non the less it’s worked out well for all parties and Heupel was smart enough to stick with Hooker unlike Pruitt would have.

#1 - QB Joe Milton III, Tennessee

He's talented and gifted ... but not that talented and gifted.

Most wish him well after the freak injury last season but - he cannot carry this UT team all by his lonesome.
