Thoughtful article about Tebow's commercial.

A different, less hateful point of view...

I don't see why this guy is so untouchable? His fundamentalist views are not in line with mainstream america. If he is so concerned with doing "God's work" why doesn't he become a missionary or a preacher? instead he's obsessed with becoming a millionaire NFL quarterback. I'm sure I'll get blasted just like everyone else who criticizes the chosen one but I'm not a robot.

So because he has different views (and not ones I necessarily agree with, especially on the abortion front) he shouldn't be allowed to express them? And I don't think he is 'obsessed' with becoming a millionaire quarterback. Does he want to play in the NFL as a QB? Yes. But that's not any different than any other player who wants to succeed in football. He loves the game, and he loves God. So why can't he be a football player and a missionary? If you disagree with his views than just ignore him, no big deal.

That is his plan when football is no longer an option.

This whole thing is laughable as nobody, absolutly nobody, that has a problem with this ad has seen it. These people still presume to know what is in the ad and continue to go batshit crazy about. What are they so scared of, another person's point of view? Say hello to the 1st amendment.

Tebow's decision to appear in this ad should be considered just as courageous as Muhammad Ali's decision to not enter the draft, or Tommie Smith's and John Carlos' black power salute at the 1968 summer Olympics.

O RLY?

I don't consider Ali's draft dodging to be terribly courageous. Then again, I'm not the hack that wrote this article.

I agree with this too.

The black power salute was courageous in my opinion.
Ali was just a pussy.

Rather harsh view of what the commercial would be about, no?

I applaud Tim Tebow for standing up for what he believes in and not just going with mainstream America.
