As a frequent sports bettor, I learned the hard way a long time ago, stay away from betting bowl games with no national championship implications.
There are all sorts of outliers and results that seem ridiculous, often because one team has nothing to play for and another has something to prove. Examples are legion:
Bama v. Oklahoma
Bama v. Utah
Lsu v. Notre Dame (this year)
Ole Miss v. TCU (this year)
etc. etc. etc.
Does anyone really think these outcomes would have happened in the regular season?

Absolutely it does....
TCU got jobbed, Wisconsin laid down for the conference. TCU could have beat Oregon, and then Bama or FSU.

TCU lost to Baylor. Why didn't Baylor get jobbed?

This was never going to happen. Playoff was a bad idea for the SEC. We should have fought for the BCS.
