They should have won the first game 17-6.
I really hate when people say this shite.
Should have and what happened are completely different. Bama shouldn't have even been in the game. So you can play that all day.

Yep.

What pisses me off is that they were so much better than a 21-0 loss, a better team than bama, no, but capable of A LOT better effort.

You can say that other teams had a case to be in the game, but to say Alabama shouldn't isn't really accurate, given the rules and the parameters set forth by the BCS.

If I was an LSU fan, I could deal with the loss. But rolling over and showing your belly like a whipped dog would bother me.

I'm a Bama fan. Just giving credit where credit is due.
LSU is a great team. They'll always be the same though. Huge, athletic, fast, and a little rough around the edges. Lots of potential. If you don't think this LSU team could blowout Bama on any given Sat, you haven't been watching much CFB.

Ok Bama fans, with all this being said, what is your prediction for next years game in Red Stick? And why?

I'm going to take this loss to the grave, still baffled by it and we will NEVER get an explanation.

I think it's all LSU next year, unless Les Miles does some sort of self-sabotage. I thought years ago there was no way in hell he'd lose to Ole Miss two years in a row, given those circumstances.
Similarly, I thought that given the off the field issues, the wheels would have come off before the National Championship game.
But I still think LSU will win. More experience and revenge.

Funny how Bama fans are the only ones that can use the "we beat ourselves" when they lose. I definitely think JJ/Miles beat LSU. The great offense Bama fans claim to have scored ONE TD with 2 minutes left in the game. This is a BS NC for Bama, them bastards should have never played in this game. They have one loss at home to LSU with the same record as LSU and they still pound their chest. Truly pathetic! I'm sure NCAA violations will come up over the summer, karma.

2008 Sugar Bowl. UA lost a lineman, and threw in the white flag. Bugs the shite out of me.

I have a feeling that Miles will have some heat on him for a while.

Most Bama fans will admit that South Carolina flat out beat Alabama last year.
The reason Alabama fans think we beat ourselves in November was that it was our team mistakes that left points on the board... and the game was 3 points difference.
The reason Alabama fans take credit for the LSU game is that the game plan was no different, and the score was 21-0. There were 5 first downs. It'd be different if the score were closer, or if LSU had won in ONE statistical category.

We got our asses totally kicked in that second half

Not saying it's true, But we CAN use it if we want. Alabama did have a lot of chances to win the game 11/5.
LSU was NEVER in the game 1/9.

As much as you want it to disappear, LSU beat Bama in tuscaloosa. Had that not happened, and only the beat down occured, you wouldn't hear that. You speak as if people are pulling that out of thin air, because you wish people would forget your loss. I could see some gumps claiming an undefeated season this year because "11/5 was a fluke". It shows a lack of respect, tbh.
LSU was the better team, 11/5. Bama was the better team on 1/9. Just because LSU shite the bed that game, doesn't mean that Bama wouldn't if they were to play again. To think otherwise says you think your team is infallible, and both have shown that to be incorrect.

Recently, I read a great book all about statistics and randomness called "the Drunkard's Walk". Truly, it's a fantastic book with some great examples about great minds finding better understanding in a seemingly random universe.
In the book, there's a lot of dialogue about an early mathematician who did his work on flipping coins and dice.
What's interesting is the following:
Yes, in isolated cases flipping coins is a 50/50,and flipping dice have their own odds (albeit less), but what changes is HOW MANY TIMES you flip the coins.
Interestingly, depending on the odds of the dice and what number came last, and how many times you throw the dice, the odds change a bit from the single throw.
Long story short: LIke dice, ALA and LSU are really similar statistically (defenses, offensive gains, stops, talent, etc.). So, the dice were flipped on Nov 5th and were nearly Snake Eyes (OT decided the match). Because it went LSUs way, you could make a strong probable guess that Bama would win the second match.
TL;DR: Not likely to roll the same number of dice two times in a row. Because of this, LSU won game 1 and Bama game 2 because they're so similar.

If you weren't watching the game, and you saw that there was really just a 2 score difference through a lot of the 4th quarter, I can understand the mindset of not wanting to risk Jarrett Lee throwing an interception and completely letting the game get out of hand. As it was, 2 scores against Alabama was a big hurdle to climb, and I got the sense Les was sort of waiting for something to give... then time sort of got away and was too late.
Not saying it was right, but in the game decisions are tough. Had Lee gone in and thrown a pick 6, people would be wondering why he didn't keep Jefferson in, IMO.
