He has a better family support system at Alabama so it is no shock his father would want him there. Parents think with more logic than a kid who is promised the world and a starting spot as a freshman.
This is probably the most accurate post a person could make. Parents are more likely to be able to see through the bullshite, and not let the temptation of getting on the field from day one sway their logic. If the kid wants to get to the league, despite being a highly athletic and powerful OL prospect, he would best benefit from RS first. This is practically guaranteed at Bama, where the OL depth is solid. Not that other schools don't have solid OL depth as well, but Auburn is losing 4 starting OL so it would be ridiculous to say they are in better shape than Bama is at that position.

I'll just say this. I just want the kid to be happy. If he really didn't love AU and the opportunity to play very early, the decision would be very easy -- sign the papers for Bama and call it a day. This is just my opinion, of course, but I think he really wants to go to AU, but he doesn't want to disappoint his family, either. I know his parents would be supportive of his decision to go to Bama, but I hope they will be supportive if he ultimately wants to go to AU.
