Because when your coach does it, it comes off as forced and juvenile. Mullen isn't Jackie. He isn't a cranky, grizzled bastard. He's a young, baby-faced, goofier-than-frick Yankee who doesn't really know what he's dealing with regarding this rivalry. Seeing him grin and stammer out "The University of The School Up North" at your Signing Day press conference was, honestly, slightly embarrassing for me.
Furthermore, it panders to the lowest common denominator of your fanbase, namely those who fricking LIVE to see Ole Miss lose. That's not you, nor is it most other posters on the Rant, but you know those people exist. It is just odd to us that y'all can't seem to do anything that isn't either a reaction to something we've done or some sort of "hey look at us, Old Piss" type of move.

I could easily retort back with "wifebeaters and overalls poors and dumbs rednecks uncultured losers" nonsense, but I won't, because I'd rather not waste my time with that and I respect most State posters (read: not you) on the Rant and feel that they're better than trite bullshite.
Yeah, Dan Mullen gets under our skin about as much as the kid in the cafeteria who shoves peas in his nose does. He doesn't get on our nerves in the way you think he does. He gets on our nerves in a "this motherfricker is annoying and childish" way.

And State fans have no business calling anyone irrelevant. That 1941 SEC Championship sure is nice and all, but everyone on that team is likely dead.

We cry and whine? I have heard nothing but hardest schedule in the world this and moral victories that from State fans. If we didn't have a midget we would've done this, if we had Ole Miss' schedule we would've done that. Your whole season consists of nothing but whining and complaining.

No what's really embarrassing is a team who considers a 5-7 year a big success, and is really pumped up and optimistic that they could be 6-6 the next year. On your SixPack boards they were having a discussion on if they would be happy going 5-7 this year as long as only 2 of your losses were blowouts. They seemed to pretty much agree they'd be happy with it. Now that's embarrassing.

Switch out pink belts with pink pants and I know a lot of people like this. Usually doctors and lawyers kids who are spoiled brats. But in the defense of ole miss posters on here mist of the snoodyest ole miss fans are people not even from Mississippi, usually from Texas and the Memphis area
