Why is everyone arguing?

We lost Knile...hurts us pretty bad...admit it.

Hopefully Johnson and Wingo step up but Knile was the best by far

Yet you think it's perfectly ok to call me names in response and that's neither being a troll nor flaming in your eyes.

I wonder what LSU or Bama fans would say if a star LB or D-Lineman went down? Judging from comments around here I would believe that they would be fricked because you apparently only get one decent guy per position.

There are definitely a few positions where if we lost our top guy, we would be seriously hurting. Wide Reciever and Linebacker specifically.

It's my opinion that this is that kind of injury for Arkansas. I thought you would be able to weather the storm of replacing so many lineman as well as your quarterback because you had a serious playmaker at running back. Now I think that's seriously called into question, and given that Arkansas hasn't exactly been the Pittsburg Steelers on defense under Petrino, it's a major concern.

According to many of the Arkansas fans in this thread, that opinion is a flame and I'm an idiot. But of course it's perfectly alright for them to defend themselves through personal attacks because I'm going to be banned soon for having an opinion contrary to theirs.

Oh, of course not.

If you think the 2011 LSU Defense is going to = the 2008 LSU defense then I don't know what to tell you.

It would suck but it's not like we're lacking in LB depth. You have to remember, every Saban recruit comes in as a Jack LB

I never said that, nor did I ever imply that.

You're disregarding a game, because it doesn't fit your argument.

Because apparently if you don't think Johnson is just as good as Davis then your a flaming idiot who will be banned soon.

Not at all.

I'm disregarding it because we sucked that year. I have no doubt 2011 Arkansas would beat 2008 LSU with Davis at running back, Johnson at running back, or the Easter Bunny at running back.

Exactly. Which is what Arkansas fans are trying to say.

Yes, we lost a great RB in Davis, but we have depth. We have an SEC proven Dennis Johnson, we have Ronnie Wingo.

You're talking to a fanbase that in one depth chart had McFadden, Jones, Hillis and Smith. Smith, the worst of the group, was a 1st team All-SEC 1,000 yard rusher.

We don't have a backfield of that caliber anymore, but you're going to have a hard time convincing me that only the likes of Bama, LSU or Florida can have a solid depth chart at any position.

Johnson is a very very very very good football player. He's already broke Felix Jones single season kick return record. The kid has skills.

Wingo isn't table scraps either.

If we didn't have the best WR corp in the country, and all we had was Knile to ride, then sure. We would be fricked.

I find it amazing though that a team like LSU can have absolute hot garbage on offense, and Bama can replace their whole offense, and they're just fine because their D might end up holding teams to 2 or 3 points less per game.

The Arkansas O will still lead the SEC in yards and points scored. Johnson will be more than servicable. I wouldn't be surpised to see him eclipse 1,000 yards.

So, It's ok to use the Cotton Bowl against a crappy A&M defense in a case for the Spencer Ware hype, but it's not ok for an Arkansas fan to use the same logic in a case for Dennis Johnson?

Hell arky fans have been sucking the black off his cock since last year.
Was this really needed in a thread about a young man suffering a very serious injury? If you think it is you are one pitiful human being. 99% of posters that have come to this thread have been man or women enough to offer kind words and encouragement, and this is what you have to bring. Thanks God not all Ole Miss fans are as classless as you are. I feel dirty even responding to your post.

Still doesn't change the fact they're basing it on one game against a bad A&M defense.

I get what your saying but your two top RBs from last year are not playing this year so that will definitely hurt your running game, especially considering you're replacing several O-Lineman. In fact, your next two RBs (Johnson and Wingo) have less career yards combined than Davis had last year alone.
