I remember it well. It was during the Great Recession. My son, who’s a now senior in high school, was a newborn baby. I snuck out of the house early and drove to Nashville alone, even though we were broke and could barely afford the gas money to do so. I walked around, taking in the sights and sounds, like a little kid on Christmas morning. I drove back home to watch the game on TV that evening with my wife and newborn son.

This year feels a lot different than that one in so many ways. It’s still pretty exciting though.
