If law school was what I wanted to do with my life, I would. But it's not. And yes, I've got two fraternity brothers there. One got a Rotary Scholarship and went to Dublin for a year before ending up at Yale. The other went straight there. Another one was a Truman Scholar as well.

I'm happy for you though. Seems like you're really going places. I'm sure all of your accomplishments really help you with the dudes at the bar.

This is really funny, by the way. You know, considering you just made shite up to try and insult my career path. Then, when I pointed out your bullshite with actual evidence, you responded with something like, "you got lucky."

Again, you are wrong. But then, that is like saying the sky is blue. You got owned twice with each figure. Your Google-Fu is weak.

And, in which post here did I use the words "you got lucky?"

This should be fun.

I don't know why you keep confusing your own education with the education of your acquaintances. We all "know someone" who went to some prestigious Ivy League. That doesn't make you special.

Dude, we went over this. The numbed are skewed because of the area. You won't make that in the south. But you know every fricking thing, so we should all just be lawyers because that is the best Job in the world.

You said the average salary for a starting lawyer was $45,000. Your evidence was "lawyer friends."

I responded with actual median salaries for recent UVA Law grads. The median salary in the PUBLIC sector was $55,000. The median salary in the PRIVATE sector was well over $100,000. Any way you slice it, YOU WERE WRONG. Can you not read? It's no wonder you flunked out of UA's law school.

I'd hate for you to be my lawyer.

I will admit though, you're persistent.

You're right. A median salary of $130,000 or whatever roughly equates to $45,000 when adjusted for cost of living.

Bro, check the median income in most places in The northeast. I know some places in jersey are like 130k. Alabama as a state is probably less than 45k

You really want me to go dig up that dogshit you spewed. There is enough arrogant, impossible posts from you in the last ten pages to give everyone on the secrant a sig quote.

I wanted to assume (based on the previous post) that you were actually worthy of a conversation, and then you go and post this.

The hell? I was giving a real life example. A year out of my masters program I made a lot more than my friend. Doesn't make me special. Just a fact. Now his degree will open doors for him and give him an edge. Few years down the road I think he will make bank.

Again, you are assuming I flunked out because somehow you feel that makes your points more valid. Or, perhaps it just gives you a little tingle. I dunno.

And, it was pointed out to you that flaw in your argument that the grads in question worked in the Northeast where the per captia income is higher...but so is the cost of living...which evens things out.

No, that wasn't pointed out to me. Nowhere did it say that all UVA grads work in the northeast, and to assume so would be stupid. Those were median salaries for ALL recent UVA grads, whether they worked in New York or Nevada (or anywhere between the two).

And even if all UVA grads lived in New England (which, of course, they don't), you don't adjust salaries based on cost of living. If you ask a friend in Boston what he makes, he doesn't say, "Well, I make $150,000, but when you divide that by the cost of living index, I actually make $55,000."
