Ironically, the Rams brought Chuck Knox in to bring back is glory days from the 1970's,too. Neither return worked out well.

Louisville also had a pretty good basketball program for years before he showed up.
wrong, Louisville's program had tanked before he showed up and revived it again.

Billy G is in his 2nd year at UK. All HCs need to recruit their style of players to play in their system.

If I was an Alabama's or UGA's AD, I would hire BG in a heart beat. The guy can coach.

Assuming UK goes after T. Johnson and gets him this year, I don't mind having BG as our LSU HC at all, just my 2 cents.

Pitino is the Steve Spurrier of basketball coaches. They are great as long as they have better talent. Put them in a place where all the talent is good and they suck. Spurrier in the NFL and Pitino in the NBA. Both rode out of town on a rail. Overated!

Brady is already on his way up there.

If LSU should be fortunate and win a couple of games in the tourney, KY will be in Baton Rouge with a satchel full of money.
If Oklahoma State wins a couple of games they will probably go after Travis Ford.

Ive been playing and watching roundball for 40 years now so i guess im at least entitled to an opinion. Pitino has been coaching for over 30 years now and has ONE championship. The media has made him into some kind of big celebrity and you are one of many who has swallowed it. Most also forget about his wonderful 99-146 record with the Celtics.

I suppose that playing during the John Wooden, Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Dean Smith days, I hold greatness to a higher level.

He's a good recruiter though, Ill give him that.
JMO, we can agree to disagree.

So what you really mean is that Pitino is winning with Denny Crum's talent, right?

You saying that Wooden didn't have talent when he won those championships?
In addition he didn't have to go through the 64 team tournament.

Last comment on this. Are you putting Pitino in the same league as Wooden?
