which will win a national championship in baseball, football, or basketball first?
Arkansas or Ole Miss in baseball.
simply because they both have elite programs in the sport.
As long as Bianco is at Ole Miss i'd go with Arkansas, though.

Call me crazy, but I think that Bianco has done more for ole miss than any other baseball coach in the history of their program. I hope you arent implying that he isnt a good coach, b/c I think he is one of the top 3 baseball coaches in the SEC. Id like to know who you think could do a better job than Bianco???

I can tell which ones of you actually follow sports outside of basketball and football just by your baseball responses. South Carolina has the best, most consistent baseball program of the 5 going right now.
South Carolina isn't going to win any National Title in basketball in the next 2-3 years, but we have a young, bad motherfricker coaching us, and we start getting some more talent other than one baller, then we'll start
that arse.

Well, just about every coach that made the NCAA tourney this year.
We were number 3 in the country in average attendance last year. We are a top 5 program in terms of support/stadium/recruiting ect. We went 40-20 in SEC play and tied for the SEC regular season championship. Yet again, we lost another super regional @ home in front of the largest home crowd in NCAA baseball last season. Yes Bianco made us who we are, but if he were a good coach he would have been able to take us to Omaha at least once. I know you don't want to believe that, but it's the truth.

Consistency doesn't equal Championship.
Resources, support, and recruiting do.

And we have all 3, moreso than Ole Miss does.

You have lost your mind. Don't let a few drunk students or sorostitutes in right field fool you. Have you ever seen our message boards during baseball season?

State fans have always been some of the most knowledgable baseball fans in the SEC and in College baseball in General.
State is a good college baseball school, true story. Let me give you a cookie. So is Ole Miss.

No you don't.
Alright I guess I'll have to call it a draw.
We beat you in attendance this year by a couple 100
You beat us last year by a couple hundred a game.

Hell, those drunk students in right field know who the other team's players are.
We know who their momma is. We know who their girlfriend is. We know where they're from.

That said, I don't know many of our baseball players because most of our good ones left.

I do know who Pom, Matt Smith, Tim Ferguson, David Goforth, ect. are.

And that is different than us how? Yall should quit counting us out in baseball because we had a few down years. We've got our new "young bad mother effin coach" and have a top ten recruiting class. Don't forget the 28 regionals and 8 world series appearances along with one of the greatest atomospheres there is.

We got a brand new stadium this past year.
It holds over 10k.
We increased capacity over the summer.
The reason our average attendance is so low is because we only have 2 or 3k people show up to the early OOC games because the weather is still so cold.
Here's a pic.

New baseball stadium that is going on its 2nd year.
Plenty of fan support.
Tanner always recruits well. and now with the new stadium it is looking really good for Gamecock baseball in the near future.

I think a lot of SEC baseball teams would have great shots at the title if LSU wasn't in the same conference. Just sayin'. When we're up like we are now, it's gonna be tough to get by the Tigers. We went away for 9 years and no one took the opportunity.

basketball. already been done. 1994.
If the question is who wins one next, well I still say Arkansas - in baseball. Dave Van Horn seems to be building toward something. He's taken two teams from Arkansas and a team from Nebraska to Omaha. First two times, he was 2 and BBQ. Last year, he broke through and began to win there. And no shame being put out by SEC West foe and eventual NC, LSU. I'd say he could put it all together and get it done eventually.
