The Box's view of the yellow tin monstrosity Ponderosa, littered ads walls of tacky bright spearmint color(not plantation/hunter green like USCe), all suck.
USCe, Old Myth, Okla, Ark/Baum, and Pepperdine(shown here)..have much better backdrops over the fences.
Hey Pervs..look past the boobs..check out the Palms and Pacific.

This thread is about who has the best ballpark and bleachers belong in football stadiums to cram in as many people as possible.
One criteria for having the best ballpark is fan comfort. and chair back seating + arm rests >>>>> cheap bleachers.
So yes, I guess you can accuse me of being too critical of bleachers that are cheap and no where near as comfortable as chair back seating.
And they hold no aesthetic value of any kind. They're flat ugly. At least with chair backs, you can color them in any shade you want to blend in with the park. Where as bleachers do nothing but draw attention.
So yes.... If you want me to get down to basics, I think a solid colored outfield wall looks MUCH better than one with multi-colored ads and color matched chair backs are much better in looks and function than metal bleachers.
I agree with this, but have you ever heard of the "Cheap Seats?" Better to have metal bleachers in the outfield, than no seats at all. I'd rather be slightly uncomfortable on bleacher seats IN the stadium, than NOT be in the stadium at all. BTW, individual chairbacks in the school colors are pretty in an empty stadium, but when the game is being played and there are Fannies (Or is it Fanny's) in those seats, it doesn't matter. You can't tell the difference when the stadium is full.
Can't stand the ads all over the outfield fence and scoreboard. Most LSU fans don't either, but the LSUAD loves em and has pretty much turned our athletic facilities into the AD Champions of the SEC.
The "Unfinished" look of the Box grandstand with all the empty space/exposed beams is an embarrasment.
What about that green Wal-Mart tarp they put in the outfield as a Batters Eye? Nice. Nobody in BR knows how to build a solid wall?

I agree that the ads in the Box outfield look horrible.
Why would you put bumper stickers on a Porsche?

I disagree. It's better to have an area where you can bring your own chair and coolers than bleacher seats.
Of all schools, I would have guess LSU would be the main ones with this sort of park.

Exactly...
Who can honestly say that they'd rather sit in metal bleachers in the outfield than sit in your own comfortable chair, sipping a cold beer, and grilling some good brats?

I would like to ADd that LSU is obviously much more AD-centric than just about any other school I have seen. Don't y'all have corporate logos on your basketball court? And if memory serves, there are actual golden arches over the tunnels at Tiger Stadium.
Its something I always notice at LSU venues, and not so much at other ones.
I know the fans don't make those decisions, but it appears your sports marketing department is headed by a tard.
That or a chronically drunk cajun.

Baum's left field has the charcoal grills on site. They dont check the coolers, either, since the stadium is technically off campus.
Adjacent to our left field is a hot tub you can rent out for game parties.

chairbacks and skyboxes aren't classic or for purists...

I have too.....and I can honestly say it's a wash because of the Box cutting corners.(ads, bleachers, incomplete suites)
I can honestly say everything you just said word for word about the Box. If the Box had just an average exterior, it would drop them down to 4th or even 5th.
bottom line is that our stadium is much nicer than yours..why keep arguing this, homer

No it isn't....homer.
And I find that accusation humorous considering I'm giving the Baum the top spot in the SEC.

Just let this shite go. Every school is going to think theirs is better than the others. These threads are getting ridiculous. You can't even state your opinion without being ripped apart for it.
