Wait, nameless random fans outside of sec territory is your proof? Yea, you are gonna have to do a lot more than that.

What exactly am I supposed to be proving here? Are you seriously asking me to post click bait articles?

Nobody "fell" for his troll, they just took the opportunity to discuss actual SEC running backs.

Wait, so you're saying 2015 Bama had other threats on offense besides Henry?

Of course it did. That was a very underrated team in the grand scheme of things that played a VERY tough schedule. Coker finished with over 3,000 passing yards though he didn't start balling out until the fourth quarter of the Tennessee game. We also had a 1,000 yard receiver in Calvin Ridley. O.J. Howard was probably the most talented tight end to ever play at Alabama but Lane Kiffin didn't figure out how to use him in 2015 until the national championship game.

It was a bowl game win over #7 Notre Dame.

Are you suggesting Georgia shouldn't have been named national champs that year? You do recall that Alabama lost to Notre Dame that year, don't you?

I didn't say you shouldn't be national champions, I said calling that game a national championship game is just wrong.

You guys do it because it sounds better than saying you beat #7 Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, as it implies a higher quality opponent.

I mean you just made my point for me, the UF defender slipped on that play

As I say, there's a bit of luck involved in every football season, and Georgia was declared the champs that year. That one is in the books and it isn't changing.

Best Running Back in SEC History?

Dumb post is dumb. You can't be the best RB in SEC history if you never played in the SEC.

Stop ignoring your schedule I posted, that's a LOT more than just a little luck.

Glad that's settled. Thanks.

We beat #7 Notre Dame in a bowl game to secure an undefeated national championship season. I'm not sure who you mean by "you guys" as I'm not calling it a national championship game.

I think we can all agree that 1980 Georgia just might be the second worst national champion of the modern era just based off their schedule (and the tightness in which they played in many of those games) alone. That was a good, not great football team that benefited from one of the softest schedules in the history of the Southeastern Conference.

I definitely would be interested to see a simulation between 1980 Georgia and 1984 BYU.

Other Georgia fans having been saying it over and over, and you decided to reply to me when I called them out for it.

I've never in my life called Alabama's bowl games that preceded a national championship a "national championship" game because they weren't. They were Sugar Bowl wins.

You are 100% correct. I bow at your feet.
It doesn't change the fact that Georgia was national champs in 1980.

Though that '79 Sugar Bowl was for all the marbles as it was between #1 Penn State and #2 Alabama. The Coaches Poll voted USC #1 that season even though Alabama finished with more first place votes in the final voting.

Guess you missed Coker throwing for over 330 yards in the title game against Clemson.
I guess you missed the other games where he would stall the drive and throw numerous interceptions and had to get bailed out by the defense and Derrick Henry. I like Jake Coker he had guts and was a tough player but let's not pretend he was some phenom at QB.

Mark Ingram should also be in the list.

And it doesn't change the fact that the 1981 Sugar Bowl wasn't a national title game.

Coker passing yards against Clemson: 335
Belue passing yards against ND: 7
Separated shoulder: yes for Herschel, no for Henry

And I acknowledged that. Not sure why you felt the need to bring it up again.
