n fact one could argue that number of outstanding running backs added by Oklahoma and Texas alone is comparable to the existing conference's stable of backs.

Not super complicated. I don't see a single OU or Texass player anywhere in any SEC record book. The thread is related to SEC RBs, which sorta seemed obvious.

One could argue that you'll get your chance to edumacate us "backwoods country folk" regarding UTerus arse-hattery when you join the conference, but good on you for getting a head start.

UT is the ghost of Christmas past. A&M is the ghost of Christmas future. Mostly just noisy harmless phantoms questing for relevance.

Ummm, yeah....You'll be hearing a ton about all purpose yards from them.

Ask fans outside the SEC. Like I said above, they'll be citing all purpose yards, blah blah blah.

Personally, I thought he was over-rated as frick, especially in the NFL.

Wait, nameless random fans outside of sec territory is your proof? Yea, you are gonna have to do a lot more than that.

Uh...yeah, they are. In fact...I'm pretty sure the vast majority of college football fans and media pundits would have him ranked #1 all-time. He averaged over 200 yards and 7.6 yards per carry in his Heisman season.

If it doesn't matter, why then won't Georgia fans just say it was a bowl game win against #7 Notre Dame? Because by saying national championship game, they get to imply #1 vs #2. In the end, it was the only ranked team Georgia played that entire year.

It was a bowl game win over #7 Notre Dame.

Are you suggesting Georgia shouldn't have been named national champs that year? You do recall that Alabama lost to Notre Dame that year, don't you?

208 of those yards were to a wide open OJ Howard. No need to pretend like Coker had some prolific night passing.

Wait, so you're saying 2015 Bama had other threats on offense besides Henry?

I don't think he's suggesting that, just that the MNC was only on the line for UGA and not ND.

Which is true.
He did throw in the line about Georgia not playing another ranked team, which suggests that he believes Georgia's undefeated season wasn't enough for the title. Maybe that's not what he meant. If it is, I'd love to hear who he thinks should have been named national champs that season.

He's wrong there, UF finished #19 in the Coaches poll. But UGA definitely lucked out during the regular season. Going undefeated trumped everything back then though (see 1984 BYU).

@ 5-6 Vols
4-7 A&M
6-5 Clemson
1-10 TCU
3-8 Ole Miss
2-9 Vandy
@ 3-8 Kentucky
8-4 SCar
vs #19 C UF
@ 5-6 Auburn
1-9-1 GT

Lucked out? You mean Run Lindsay Run?
A little luck is involved in every football season. Bottom line is that Georgia won the national championship that year.

I saw them play too. They were at a different level that the rest of the players on the field. While I would take Bo, I know the UGA fans out there will always choose Herschel and I understand why. You can't go wrong either way.

This exactly.

I mean you just made my point for me, the UF defender slipped on that play.

Meanwhile #2 11-1 Pitt had to play @ final #5 FSU and final #8 Pedo St during the regular season.

Troll? Sure. But when people troll it is still fun to show everybody else how stupid they are. I mean, when people troll they tend to at least believe a little about what they say.

I think it is stupid to troll. What is the point?

I just enjoy holding up trolls to ridicule and laughing at them.
