Didn't say he met with him. Following Saban is tough and Norvell was in a better situation than KD. Not out of the realm of possibility that he stayed where he was at when he could've left. There's no shame in missing on Lanning and Norvell. Not sure we would have pulled them in the same situation either. If they are elite, they have the possibility of getting a trophy right where they are at.
