Mack Brown was one on my list but thought I'd take hell. If you can handle the Texas political bs Bama should be easy. Solid OC and DC. Could work. Then he can retire after a couple years

It is for LSWho.

Great season seems like a stretch? Beating a 7-6 Wisconsin team in the final minute of a garbage bowl?

Again, remember you're talking about a bunch of corn dogs. The bar is set VERY LOW.

Great may be a bit of a stretch. But, I honestly don't think that fans outside of Baton Rouge actually realize how toxic and bad things were here when Kelly took over. This program was absolutely broken and had to be rebuilt from the ground up. Not just rebuilding the roster, but rebuilding the athletes, the work ethic in the players and the administration offices. These people had to be taught what it meant to come to work everyday with a mindset for success. That doesn't happen overnight. Even if he isn't the best football coach, he is exactly what the program needed to get back on track. It was a perfect hire.

If Bama wanted stable they would hire a retread like Brian Kelly

Damn that's harsh

Honestly, Kelly's better than that. He's a very good coach, not a retread.

If Mack was younger he would be scary at BAMA. He could have the Boosters and High School coaches wrapped around his finger. At Texas, he would wrap up recruiting in about 3 weeks, and end up with a top 5 class. As a coach, he's not so good, but give him a decent staff, and he would get them enough talent coming down the pipeline to win a lot of games consistently..
