Possibly because a 13-0 Alabama team > 12-1 Oklahoma team.

All depends on how bama loses.
If Mac jones plays the whole game and bama loses by a field goal, then yeah they probably get in.
If Tua plays the whole game and bama loses by 15-20 points, then no chance bama gets in.

11-1 Big 12 champion Oklahoma vs. 11-1 SEC West Co-champion Alabama debate. If that Alabama loss is to LSU, and LSU wins the SEC, Bama gets the nod.
Now if LSU loses to Florida/Georgia in SECCG, then OU would get the nod as Bama’s loss to LSU looks worse.
