I heard McCluster was charging $.75 to put that on his autographs at his card signing at Dillards....$1.25 to sign the Ole Miss 31-National Champs 30 poster.

A PORTION

A popular marketing tactic used quite often by telemarketers.
What is a portion....A dollar? A nickel? A dime?

It would have credibility if they stated how much of each ticket and sale goes to the charity, but they rarely do. Why is that? It doesn't take any effort to make it clear.

Eli put any kind of a markup on signing SEC West Co-Champs memorabilia when he comes to town?

Having worked for a charity the employees get a salary so he could give the money to the charity and then pay himself a salary out of it. There are percentage requirements on how much has to go to charity and the salary caps for officers is capped but still.

I don't have a problem signing autographs for money, but the putting bible verses of the peoples choosing for an extra charge seems a tad bit over the top.

Doesnt sound like they are charging extra for that:

Tim would be happy to Personalize your item for you "To (Name)", write "God Bless", "Go Gators", or inscribe a short Bible Verse of your choice included in the signing fee.

His is a donor advised fund; not the same as what you are describing. I've got one with Schwab. Don't know how NCF does it, but Schwab doesn't charge the fund any administrative fees.

Yeah...

If he wants to charge for autographs that's great, but I think it's chicken shite to charge an extra 25 bucks if you want National Champs or Heisman included with your autograph.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Tebow has done many positives things during his college playing days and helped a lot of people; he doesn't need to do something like that.

If some of you get that worked up over $160 autograph, this ought to make some of you stroke out

FORT PIERCE — Fort Pierce mayor Bob Benton will declare July 3 as “Tim Tebow Day.”

Denver Broncos draft pick and former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow will be making his first ever public appearance on the Treasure Coast next month as part of a fundraiser event organized by The Van Duzer Foundation and Palm Beach Autographs. The event will include a private meet-and-greet, a paid autograph session, a free-to-the-public speech from Tebow, who will bring his Heisman Trophy, an “All-American Blood Drive” and an outdoor tailgate-style barbecue. The event starts at 7 a.m. with the blood drive and wraps up around 3 p.m. at Big Apple Pizza, located at 2311 South 35th Street in Fort Pierce.

Those wanting to give blood can register starting at 7 a.m., and one blood donor will be selected to attend the private meet-and-greet at 11 a.m for free. Cost to attend the meet-and-greet is $1,000 for a party of two, and it will include an autographed football and lunch with Tebow.

Tebow then will speak at noon and sign autographs, and there will be a barbecue with hamburgers and hotdogs until 3 p.m.
