Best QB in the country.
Best coach in the country.
Best group of recievers in the country.
A defense that can't help but improve.
A very favorable schedule.
An excited fan base.
They got dat swagga.

I'm saying 10 wins post-Bowl, and 2nd in the West.

I'll be pleased with 9 wins!
CBP still has lot's of work to do on the defensive side of the ball..
WPS!

AYSM?
It will be hard to win an NC for several reasons.
First, Arkansas will not win the West unless they beat Bama and I don't see it happening.
Second, there will not be market improvement on defense until year 4 or 5. The players are still undersized and it takes time to develope the Dline and LB's necessary to be good. Still a far way from that.
Third, there will not be a legit NC in college football until there is a playoff. Every other one is a joke.
Edit for spelling.

Hell no!
I just thought the crazy expectations by some Arkansas fans (not the ones on this site) for next year sound all to familiar to me as a Rebel fan.
I hope you guys do well but it's a hell of a fall if you don't.

I don't think any Arkansas fan over the age of 18 hopes for more than 10 wins post-bowl next season. If they do, then they are the same type of retard that every fanbase must endure.
As for the Ole Miss '09/ Arkansas '10 comparison, there are several GIANT differences. The major difference being that our QB as a sophomore, in his first SEC season, was 3x the QB that Snead has ever been, or ever will be.
Additionally, Ole Miss fans were expecting a BCS bowl under Nutt (LOL), where as Arkansas fans are enjoying the growth of a program, as Petrino took a scorched earth program from Nutt and went from 5 wins to 8 wins to probably another 2 game improvement next year.
We know what we have with Petrino. We have reasonable expectations.
With Nutt, Ole Miss hasn't learned that he is a monkey with a whistle that will never make a BCS bowl, even with the best squad he will ever have at Ole Miss.
Year 3 under Nuttzo will be about 4 to 6 wins. Year 3 under Petrino will be yet another step forward.

I'm predicting something like this.

Pre-bowl, IMO.
Who will be our 3 conference losses? Assuming we sweep our non-conference schedule.

10 wins pre-bowl isn't THAT out of the question.

I think only 2. Bama and LSU. I see Arky running the table the rest of the way. And if Mallett somehow learns how to play in big games (38% completion percentage is unheard of) then it could be a better season.

In 4 ROAD GAMES against teams ranging from #20 to #1, he threw for almost 900 yards with 4 TD's and 2 Int's at 41%.
The accuracy wasn't there but those numbers are still excellent.
Also, his numbers against all common opponents were superior to those of every SEC QB.
The "big game" line is bologna.

Arkansas should be very good next year, but they will lose in Starkville.
You heard it here first.

It's not just what Arkansas fans expect, it's the expectations placed on you by opposing fan bases. Sorantable is mocking the Arkansas posters who were clamoring on and on about how "If Ole Miss doesn't win the West their season will be a letdown, they are legit BCS contendors, blablabla." Essentially, these fans were setting ridiculous standards just so they could, in a few months, come around to say "LOL told u so **** HAHAHAHHHA WOOPIG BITCH!"
Don't lie, you know these people exist.

Like from #4 to #20?
We won't have unattainable expectations like the media did with Ole Miss before the season started.
