The season is gonna come down to 2 things
1. linebackers
2. is the new OC foreal
if our linebackers are good and stay healthy i can honestly say i can see us as a legit shot in the SEC West. it's the only question mark I really have about the team.
our secondary is gonna be filthy. every starter back there will play in the league and Toliver has the potential to be special. I don't know why LSU passsed on him, but thanks lol
On offense it wasnt' BAD last year it was just... stupid. if that makes sense. like we'd try to be the smartest guy in the room on offense and out think people and shite like that. plus our o line is a year older and it's deeper now, we have a real QB coach coaching QBs
I like our team. this is the best team we will have had sense the team that went to the sugar bowl in 2010 IMHO.
I think we beat bama this year. we should have beat them last year. there is not gonna be a team that's gonna line it up and run it down our throats and win this year. not gonna happen. we will be able to control the ball a lot better than we did last year and we did a good job last year. I think we match up with bama and lsu particularly well even though we get both on the road. we'll knock off one of them if not both.
The team that scares the living shite out of me honestly is A and M. I could easily see us losing that game. IT's just not a good matchup if they have a real QB. What scares me is they have a real Defensive coach now. if they can play defense and get the ball / keep the ball out of our hands we can very well lose that game. I think Tennessee will be a good game but we're just too experienced for that team even on the road. they are a year from truly being back. they will be like we were this last year
We're gonna have a good year. It hink about how like Ole miss had last year. could be better or worse. But it will be a good year.
I'll leave you with this fun fact as well. If you discount the John L smith era which was a freak show, the last 4 times Arkansas has been preseason ranked in the top 20 they finished in the top 6.

That's basically how I feel. Sumlin's offense should turn those 5* QB recruits into animals. We squandered an excellent opportunity last year with his team's somehow sub-par QB play. However, I'm really not sold on their defense. I'll believe his teams will have an elite defense when he proves it. That's the risk you run with an ultra efficient offense.

7-5 , 11-1 is crazy. We are talking about a team that in the last 2 years won a total of 2 conference games. Arkansas is going to be one of the most overrated teams in the conference this year. They will look great against the weak OOC games and then start losing when the conference games start.

Auburn went from 3-9 to the NC game the following year. Missouri went from 5-7 to 12-2 and winning the East. Another poster mentioned how Arkansas went from 4-7 to 10-4 the next year and winning the West.
