Venable has built his team at the LOS to come and compete at the SEC level. You actually have 3 very good recruiting and transfer classes baked into your SEC debut. Why you let Dillion Gabrielle go to Oregon is a bit of a mystery, but I guess that is a huge belief in the new guy.

Dillon Gabriel did a fantastic job for us in a time of need. We lost both Caleb and Spencer, with no viable qb on roster. Dillon came in last minute.

His first year we had to throttle so many plays because if he go hurt we were screwed. And TCU made a dirty play and concussed him, so he missed the tx game. So year 1 was a mess and imagine being Lebby and you can’t use all your tools because risk of injury meant losses.

Year 2 we had JA as a true freshman redshirting. He was there as emergency backup only so again throttle but not as much. Dillon is a fine qb and he is going to a loaded Oregon team so could win the Heisman this year. His shortcoming is long to deep balls, he is not as accurate and arm comes up short. But he was a great fill the gap qb and left on great terms.

We had to move on because our qb room is now reloaded and lined up like a freight train. There was no way Jackson was sitting another year not with Hawkins a year behind.

I watched all of Jacksons senior year games and trust me the hype is valid. The key will be line protection. We also have the #1 24 RB coming in to support an established runner. And our TE room is much improved. And then the WR group is one of the best overall in college. I think our D will be stout and a lot of peeps say O will be our weakness. But this O has a chance to be special. Jackson has some super speed in the wr room and can hit them no matter the distance where Dillon would come up short too many times.

I am really excited for this year. Not just playing SEC teams thats special in itself. But to see year 3 of the rebuild. I think we will be much better than last year yet might have more losses (before bowl season) due to schedule.

Not gonna miss that game....nothing in it for us...we are supposed to win 9 out of 10....it's their super bowl, not ours....frickem

That's why the rest of us liked you playing them. But you still beat them 80% of the time.

lol. Buckle up. 9 out of 10 SEC teams are gonna treat beating you as if it's their Super Bowl.

One thing is for certain, we know Mizzery will.

Well if it happens it's because you're due... I mean you all have only beaten us 4 times since 1972. I mean a blind hog finds an acorn every once in awhile. So...

It always struck me as a lose lose situation for OU, sort of like a young man whipping an old man's arse. OU won it most of the time so it viewed as much of a win. IF OSU managed to keep it close or actually win it was a HUGE win for them. OU got very little out of it and no matter the outcome OSU got a lot out of it...lose and it was expected, keep it close and OSU was on the come....manage to actually win and OSU had won the Super Bowl.

There seems to be a decent amount of insecure OK fans on here. Never noticed it in the B8,
