I honestly can't remember — what was the final verdict on this?
He actually was interviewing for the Michigan job and got spooked when it was leaked?
Or was Herbstreit just wrong?

Obviously we will never know for sure but where there's smoke there is fire. I don't think Herbstreit made up that report and I feel like there was some real truth to that story. ESPN reporting it likely blew up whatever was going on behind the scenes. Just my theory.

I believe he was headed to UM after the OT loss to Arky. I don’t believe he had any belief LSU would be one of the final two teams.
