Do you have kids or are you planning to have any? There is one private school in St Bernard, Prompt Succor that goes to 7th grade. After that you’re commuting them to the city. I grew up here and went to public school. My kids are going into highschool and we’re moving to a place where they can go to decent public schools. If I was buying it would be in Old Arabi on the river side. Lower Mearaux is too close to Violet, which is the new lower ninth. Still EXTREMELY low violent crime compared to adjacent parish. As was said earlier, police substation at each of the only 3 roadways into the parish with traffic cameras scanning license plates. You’ll see plenty of cars pulled over at the parish line every day. Some still make it through. Great local food, fishing, and family events. And the city is 15 minutes away when we actually have bridges open that allow us to leave. The port and the grain train are coming. Who knows if that’s going to be a boom or bust for the parish. The green bridge is actually green again and we get a new coffee shop every week. The fiery crab on judge Perez is packed. I love having Ocshner so close. Great hospital. With that said, I’m out. Good luck.

Not only is it old but I can’t find anything about a lawsuit being filed on the case except the headline of this worldstar post. Even the video is just a news article on the shooting. I didn’t see anything about a lawsuit. Google didn’t turn up anything either.

Yall get a hard on for this just because of the Harvard situation but this hurts education at poorer schools too. And it’s not going to affect Harvard that much.
