I agree with your take. This WM team is better than the record indicates, they just couldn’t get out of their own way last night. 2 bad fumbles in the 1st half, blown coverages in the 2nd half, defense couldn’t off the field in 2 critical series on 4th down. Credit to ASH, they made plays when it mattered.
This WM defense shows glimpses of dominance at times, then melts down when they need it, have to develop consistency. Proud of the effort last night though. Offensively they’re figuring out who they are. The schedule has been tough, just have to keep fighting.

There may not be SEC guys there right now, but several of these kids will play at next level, this is a talented group.

As for the topic. I’ve watched Hawsey for a long time. As one poster said, there has to be something they don’t like. Because imo, he is an SEC bat, maybe even draft worthy. His hands are elite. Like any big time power guy, he can get a little pull happy. But he makes the adjustments and locks in when he needs to and focuses gap to gap. He’s done a good job working on his body and speed. His speed has really improved. Plays a competent OF but is a 1B/DH. I’m more surprised that an Ole Miss or Auburn hasn’t come calling, so that kinda tells me something. Those guys are way smarter than me, but I think Trey is SEC caliber with the bat.

So next year are districts going to be redrawn? Is Neville going back to WM/Ruston district?

Totally inexcusable overturn. It’s infuriating when they completely ignore their own rules, nothing inconclusive about it….nothing!

Last I read or heard per Shea and Embody….likely no scrimmage, for the reasons you mentioned.

I believe they have 8 healthy OL at the moment, and 2 RBs. Just an example.

Is he being recruited by anyone? I’ve seen him play a few times, he’s a good looking player. At times takes over games.
