I'm not talking about McDonnell in particular but to day we can't get someone better than Bianco is laughable.

I'd take the guy from UVA over him. Dan went to Omaha with the previous coaches players and then struggled the next few seasons. I'm not exactly sold on him. If you can't win enough games to host a regional every year in that shitty conference, then I question if he could get it done in this conference. At this point....I'd started looking at Cal State Fullerton's coach. Can't imagine he makes nearly as much money their as we could pay.

I'm not sure why you think Bianco isn't a good coach. There aren't many better out there IMO. I mean he's arguably a top 5 coach in the best baseball conference in America.
ETA: if Cohen left and Binaco was available then I would take him in a heartbeat.

We aren't saying he isn't a good coach. We're simply saying we can get a better coach.
And you can't say he's top 5 in the country when we have top 5 facilities and pay with the results we've had the past 5-6 years.

The odds of this team going to Omaha isn't even comparable to the odds of Kennedy getting us to the tournament last year. Bianco getting us to Omaha this year simply won't happen.

I'd say give him a nice severance package. He;s done alot for the university, but enough is enough with mediocrity when our program is excellent.

I wish we would make the move this year. Next year is going to be a big rebuilding year for us and I don't want to see Bianco in charge of a rebuilding team at Ole Miss.

Highly doubt it. We didn't see it when Kennedy took us to the NCAA playoffs. Doubt we'd see it if Bianco took us to Omaha.

You're missing the point. There is no way possible Bianco gets this team to Omaha this year, so there won't be any I love Bianco threads here

And more importantly, it won't be a "love Bianco" threads. They'll be "It's about fricking time, Bianco". I've gone through to many frick-up seasons where we miss it by the skin of our teeth to make it a loving Bianco. He should have made it at least 3 times by now.
