Well, sonny, that there is what we call a "Vinyl Record". People used to listen to MUSIC on'em believe it or not! No foolin'! Boy howdy I tell ye we used to have us a good ol' time at the hoot-nanny spinnin' them records!
But really it's the new Lana Del Rey album. She's pretty awesome.
New single, "West Coast"

Do y'all actually listen to this stuff on a regular basis?

Vinyl or Lana?
Yes to both.

I just have a hard time getting into chick muscians. From their sound looks like y'all would like Portugal. The Man sole reason I went to Bonnaroo last year

I pulled up the album on youtube. It seems kind of depressing but it's growing on me.

Oh yeah it's depressing shite. I've always been into that sort of stuff, though. I listened to a lot of Death Cab for Cutie, Thursday and Brand New in high school.
Just for good measure, here's a shot of my vinyl collection:
That's the ones my wife and I have personally bought. We have boxes and boxes of records from her parents and mine from the 70s and 80s.

This new album sounds nothing like her first. It was produced by one of the guys from Black Keys, so that's why it's got that etheral, echoy sound.
I like Portugal. The Man. Equal Vision records has a few of my favorite artists from high school - Saves the Day, Say Anything, Fairweather.

Lana isn't as depressing as people make her out to be.

That's him. The name escaped me.
I mean...a lot of it's pretty down. "Ultraviolence" is about being in an abusive relationship and liking it.

My cousin was a huge Lana fan and he tried to kill himself
Posted on 6/25/14 at 6:29 pm to Wanderin Reb
I mean yeah, there are some songs on there with a less than positive tone. Listening to it makes me anything but depressed.

The two are obviously linked.
