i guarantee you they won't have 700 yards of offense again either. 350 rushing yards? wtf

What we have to realize is if Arky and Auburn aren't as awful as they were last year (which I don't expect them to be this year) then we don't win 7 games. We don't go to a bowl. I think our fans sometimes read to much into one season. Like Freeze said, we could be drastically improved on the field and not even have as many wins. I think we get to 7-8 but I've seen some people saying Bama could be our only loss. No chance.

Why is it so many people are thinking Ark is going to be better. They just lost everything. Am I missing something?

I think Auburn will be improved for sure. I still think we beat them though.

So you think Ark will be as horrendous as they were last year?

Plus I didn't say we wouldn't beat them next year. I said LAST year we got lucky that they imploded. Don't forget they were ranked top 5 in the country at one point. If Petrino was still there, no telling how things would have turned out.

Well Freeze is right though we still have a long way to go and next season will be very telling IMO on possibly how close we are to a good team. I'm being very optimistic about it ... which is something that I done in a long time.

But in saying that I'm will still hold to what I said earlier about not being shocked if we go 5-7 or 6-6 and the first three will be a good indicator of where this team is headed for the year.

I think Ark finishes last in the west next year.

Look at the schedule:

ULL- Hud is gonna have those guys ready for this team

Samford- easy win

USM- easy win

The GAUNTLET begins

Rutgers- not a easy win

Texas A&M- L

@Florida- L

SC-L

@Bama- L

Auburn- toss up

Ole Miss-L

MSU

@LSU-L

Six wins??? I don't see it. It would require winning two of the last four in Ole Miss, Auburn, MSU, and LSU. I don't see it.

I just don't see the need to worry about Vandy. I think we will get past them

That's what our mentality has been the past six years and where did that get us ...

The way I look at it is we had them beat at our place. We were up by 17 with 22 mins left in the game. 4 inside the 15 yard line Field Goals kept it from being more than that. We have basically that same team plus added stars that will probably make an impact, and Vandy is losing 2 of 3 of their star players from last year. Having a Quarterback who is making his first start against SEC competition ever works in our favor too.

Granted we weren't supposed to beat Vandy 2 of those years. Last year the talent level was even and the game could've gone either way. It went Vandy's way that night

most people I've heard from are saying anywhere from 7-9 wins. Not that unrealistic

Just remember two things that are pretty important....

1. Our schedule starts out pretty brutal.
2. Defensive Coordinators will have a years worth of watching Freeze's offense. It'll be interesting if we can up the octane on our tempo enough to overcome defenses possibly being prepared for our offense.

Look at Merlins' 2nd season after his first successful one. They ended up going 6-6. That could be from defenses learning his schemes.....or it could be because he was too busy out back sucking on cow tits.

could be both

It does start out extremely brudal. However I think we go 4-3 those first 7 games. Look at how our season ends with the last 5 being in the state of Mississippi and against competition we will probably be favored against. I'm not going to be disappointed at all with a 6-6, 7-5 year as long as we improve. However, I would not be shocked at all if we ended in the 8-4, 9-3 range. 8-4 or 9-3 with a Cotton Bowl bid would be beyond huge for this team, especially with this schedule.

And yeah I think defensive coordinators knowing Freeze's style of play calling now could be a factor in some games. I'm hoping he has new packages installed with some of the newer guys to throw some new stuff at them

While I'll always remain hopefully optimistic bout' the Rebs, Facts is Facts, In that Texas game last year it looked like every Reb on D was Jeff Scott size and every longhorn was Megatron

They weren't any bigger than half the teams we played last year. We had a young and developing defense and they capitalized on our weakness. Size wasn't a problem
