Case in point, man. I'm trying to toggle my mind between recruiting and cost/managerial accounting. Forgive me

Yes it was a state blog. I don't think patterson committed to state.

Who is your cost teacher? I had a grad student and his tests were brutal.

Oh man, I had a professor when I took it in undergrad and it wasn't too bad. Currently though, I am studying for the business section of the CPA exam. It's a much different experience

Gotcha. I've been heavily considering taking the remaining courses I need to take to be able to take the cpa exam.

I mean it's a pretty good gig once you complete the damned thing.

What was/is your major?

I majored in finance but learned quickly that a finance major does not teach you any kind of tangible skill which is the real key in job searches.

Finance is actually the area of business I enjoy the most. Accounting, fortunately, is one step away from finance. Most of what you learn in finance comes into play heavily in accounting. I plan on staying in public accounting for a couple years, doing audit work in financial services and then parlaying that into a job in corporate finance.

Probably a good plan. I'm stuck still trying to figure out what it is I want to do.

The good thing about accounting is that as long as people are trading something of some value for something else of some value, accounting will be relevant.

Anybody know if they're gonna close the majority of spring practices to the public again this year?

Pena is coaching at ASA in New York. They have what probably will be the top JC Tackle in the country in Charles Baldwin.

Why are State fans defending their ED brethren in our recruiting thread?

I would like to say that you should not be mentioned as a Heismen candidate unless you ultimately were invited to New York. Dak had a great year...and he was mentioned as a POTENTIAL candidate for the Heismen...but ultimately...he was not selected as one of the guys in the running for the award. Great year...but not Heisman worthy.

Just wanted to clarify that.
