You are assuming that the lack of running game is totaly on OL lack of blocking. I don't believe that is totally the case....it is much more to it than simply missing blocks.

What this guy says x 100

quote:

2015 Ole Miss Football Recruiting Thread
Our team will plateau unless we change to a better, more effiecient offensive scheme. Period

Teams like Oregon can plug and play and be just fine on offense, because of scheme

Ours is broke as hell right now. The End

Please don't rehash this. It derailed the thread for too long, and not in a fun "who's your favorite porn star" kind of way either.

I'm not sure how anyone could say our scheme won't work when we haven't even had the personnel to run it yet.

As far as the other qb, I hope we keep Pellerin.

My two favorite things about JP:

-He's 6'4. We need more of a Dak Prescott-body than a Russell Wilson-body.

-He was offered by Northwestern and Cal. That is great on the superficial side of we know he will qualify and won't fail out, and on the other side of the coin it means he is a cerebral QB. You can have all the talent in the world (Jamarcus Russell) but if you're a moron you won't pan out.

I've heard people say JP isn't a very polished passer, but you wouldn't know from looking at his highlights. I get they are cherry picked plays but there are just too many good/great throws on there not to represent a pattern of accuracy and arm strength. Of course, I felt this way about Kincaid and Spurlock too (although we haven't given Kincaid a fair shot yet). I think at this point, having Buchanan start will be kind of like having a poor man's Bo under center w/ same or worse results but who knows.

I agree, He should pan out to be one heck of a QB for us. Especially after a RS season and probably on bench RS FR year while Kincade/Buchanan start their senior years.

Don't forget that labruce miller still has a great chance to win the job in the spring.

When looking at a QB on film....cull all timing passes that include those looping passes down field. (these type of passes at HS level are about 85%) Focus hard on long outs.....when you can find them

Buchanan as a Poor Man Bo is good discription. You get the lack of Arm Strength....but lacks the mobility of Bo. Think of him as a Slow Bo.

DK made headway in December I am told....and I like how he carried himself in bowl game. Pray he makes a huge jump this spring. We will see if Kelly comes, he can only improve the situation either winning the job or providing a quaility backup. I am going all in with DK personally.

I hope he gets to red shirt and build up, because from what I hear he has a great frame to build more muscle onto. Hopefully We can actually see if Werner is a good QB coach and see if he helps improve his pass mechanics.

David CB'd Wethersby to us tonight. Apparently Leo was in his ear all week about how great OM was and he became good friends with Drew Richmond. BOING
