I don't know if I could live with a last name like Hosick....thats a joke waiting to happen where I'm from.

I want this guy as our qb. Even if Kelly may have slightly better skills. He obviously has done his homework. He knows the OL will be more experienced and improved and is aware of the TE and WR situation. Seems like a honest tell it like it is guy. Not some clown who can't stay out of trouble but continues to get chance after chance. I hope Freeze makes the right decision.

We didn't slow play Newsome.
So Newsome went from being 100% all Ole Miss, to not even naming us in his top 3. 2 months ago he would've committed if he had the chance. Jefferson has been atop our WR board since early last year. We've recruited him nonstop. Newsome was our fall back guy in case we missed Jefferson, but it doesn't look like we're gonna miss on Jefferson. All of a sudden, Newsome doesn't even have is in his top 3 , that's not a coincidence..
Also Lodge is still a private.
And as of last week, even with Ugo decommitting, so is Phillips.. Haven't asked about him lately though.

Dude just stop. Newsome was NEVER 100% ole miss. We would take all three right now if they wanted to be here.

I'm not sure if he was ever 100% OM, but I do think the numbers game came up at some point.

I think Tom Allen leaving had more to do with us not being in the top 3. Hes probably going to Texas.

I'm sure it didn't help. If we land Lodge and Jefferson, people will forget about Newsome.
I do think he ends up at Texas. They run that state.

I'm not real sure why we're arguing about it. I agree with most everything you say on this site because, like you, I consider myself an OM realist as well. I was just commenting on an earlier post asking about Newsome and Richmond. I posted what I know.
Seeing we're both Rebels, I think we'll both be happy come February.
Also I'm 100% against the Chad Kelly decision, even before we offered. I hope his arse never gets to Oxford. He's the nephew of an arrogant, alcoholic, a-hole and he acts just like his 'beloved' uncle. He's trouble and I don't want that guy on my team, much less the leader of our team. I'm glad I'm not freeze and have to make that call though.

Dude, come the frick on. Don't dog on Jim Kelly on Christmas. He's gone through absolute hell in the last few years.

Hold everything. You don't want a player because of his uncle.
Serious?
One of my uncles was worth $10 million when he died. What does that make me? I got his bedroom shoes, a knife with his initials, and $5k. The other uncle probably owed $50k. What difference, at this point, does this matter?
Unless you can show Chad was raised by his uncle, you have lost all credibility. I think Chad went to school in another state from Jim.

Your retribution for that subtle brag is to spend all $5K on croots.

Jim came to Mississippi in honor of a teammate and Rick Cleveland wrote a nice article.
Jim sat next to Rick at the dias. Jim had Rick cover for him for a few minutes while Jim had to remove and adjust his jaw.
Jim did not have to come to Mississippi.
Arrogant? Not in my book.

He's renowned as a beloved and respectable man. The only thing unlikable about him is I guess going to the USFL because he didn't want to play for the Bills. But even that was 30 years ago.
Now he's going through the most miserable treatments and pain . Every time I see a piece of him, it is sickening what the guy is having to deal with. It could be someone as terrible as Kanye West dealing with this and I would feel bad.

CJ had respectable stats this season.
I recall we also had committed a QB from Flower Mound. Whereabouts?

Glad to see Florida not on that list.
Hope LSU pulls in Shaq again for this visit.
