He committed to Louisville then flipped to UNC in 2012. UNC placed him at a Hargrave like place and didn't have the ACT score to get into UNC this year. UNC just got put on probation due to some academic mishaps and have jacked up the requirements for JUCOs and transfers.

He is from last years class and no one created a profile for him because he was a simple sign and place, but since he didn't get into UNC he's back on the market with OM, USCe amd Miami extremely interested. Him being from last year's class is why he isn't exactly ranked.

He has the size the play DE but the speed to play OLB and or husky for us. He ran a 10.7 100m in HS. An elite athlete and would he a hell of a player for us and he's got 5 to play 4.

Does he count against the 25 or just the 85? Or is he one of the carry overs from last year?

I wondered that too but realized it doesn't matter. What we sign in this year's won't be limited by the 25 man rule but the 85 man rule. He may not count against the 25, but of course counts against the 85 and that's the number we are watching this year.

Yancy is saying that Epps' mother is moving to Oxford in two weeks for those actually worried about him.

Here's an article of Haynes killing it in track his senior year. As I mentioned he was a champion sprinter but even more impressive was he was a champion high jumper. Won 1A state in Florida with a jump of 6'8. Elite athlete

quote:

Marquis Haynes began his senior year at University Christian with a state football crown and ended it with gold on the track.

Haynes won the high jump, placed second in the 100 meters, and took fourth in the long jump, capping a sterling season in style at Friday’s Class 1A track and field state championship at the University of North Florida.

Haynes had 25 QB sacks his senior year, but it was against 1a competition.
