Just curious who we can go after. Assuming Brent makes a change.
This is not a good stat. We need to nail this next hire.
He means offense scoring.

Witten would be a total flier and I am not suggesting him, but he did perform a small miracle in his stint as a HS head coach and has got to know offensive football pretty damn well.

I feel he will be a damn good OC (and HC) someday. My worry is we tied Arbuckles hands in who he could hire/fire on offense.
Not sold on our WR and OLine coach. Think TE and RB coaches are great.
I don’t know if Witten is ready to be an OC coach yet. And I 100% want to keep him. I think he will be in time but there are so many things OC has to do.
I also worry any new OC comes in and wants to replace TE/RB coaches.
We really are in a pickle because it also relates to future commits. When DM left for KC, we lost a 5 star RB to tx. If a new OC is hired we could lose some key players. Our TE commits are good.
I do see Oregon State is scoring a lot. We will most likely have to poach an existing OC.
As for oline, perhaps Lane Johnson would be a good candidate. But he just retired from NFL to spend time with family and the job would require more time than NFL with recruiting.

OU is +40 in third quarters and -21 in the other three quarters combined.
Oklahoma has allowed THREE third-quarter points all season:
Georgia kicked a field goal.
UTEP, Michigan, New Mexico, Texas and Kentucky all scored zero in the third quarter.
Meanwhile OU has scored 43 third-quarter points, so the third-quarter scoring margin is 43-3.

Below is pasted a list of potential future OC's by a poster screen named "Soonernvolved" over at Dirt Burglars.
IDK if any of these have the chops to move from their "minor league" type programs up to the "major leagues" where we are. I think the Briles kid at USCe would never get hired at OU.
Not many coaches have the right stuff, just to be Captain Obvious. BV and Denny had better be working every name in their Rolodexes.

Now that would possibly move the needle. We don’t need anything but a top 50 offense with our defense. Chip can get recruits.

Yah, I forgot Northwestern is in a major league being in the B1G. They are doing pretty well this season.

Brian Kelly to replace Arsuckle and anyone who hasn’t been dead over 48 hrs can replace BB.
