Holy shite!!! Why?

We were told Stone was the prize and JJ was just a bonus, so I was a bit shocked when JJ was starting some games while Stone got far less playing time. Maybe he came in and coasted, preferring to ride his "5-star +" rating to what he thought would be fame and riches..? Who tf knows.

I don't know about Halton, but it is true D. Williams and JJ would be starting over Stone. But still, this is very disappointing especially if it is about money. The star potential is definitely there.

I don’t think its about us having enough money. Rather him wanting starting money.

It would send a bad signal to rest of team to pay him starting money to not start. And he had some issues to overcome. He will be good but this year is all about winning now.

And if he doesn’t start again that might have created some locker room issues that we can’t afford. It tells me he was either pushed out or he drew a line in sand on how much he would take and OU was not gonna pay it.

I think he’ll end up regretting it. Stay another year and learn and then be starter next year and get paid.

If he goes elsewhere and for more money and doesn’t perform that will set him back for year 3.

He also likely wanted to start. Spring is when the players learn the depth chart and he likely thought he was a starter and shocked when not.

Lots of things it could be but bottom like he is not a starter and that had to cause the issue. Someone else will likely pay him more - or he really wants to start this year and is looking for a place to do so.

So he met again this morning? Has to be NIL related then. Maybe he just wants to get away from extended family kinda like lotto winners..

I agree 100% on both points. Something struck me about DS. I mentioned already, I wondered why JJ seemed so much more developed than DS. And when he got his first of two sacks on the season in garbage time vs. Temple, he celebrated like we'd just won the natty. I thought that was very odd and that's the one thing I remember most about him.

edit: at the same time though, it could simply be that he wants more playing time and saw he wasn't going to get it at OU this year.

Hearing Stone might be staying and his portal entry was negotiation tactic. Stay tuned, nothing firm yet

Choosing a university to attend is one of biggest decisions you’ll ever make. Fans love this game…but many never experience the pain or challenges that players go through especially in this new era of college football. Love for somebody comes out as hate when you are hurt & thinking about what you are losing.
We are blessed to have David Stone AKA Agent 0 continuing here, and I know SOONER NATION will embrace him as you did when he chose to be a SOONER out of high school. Boomer!!
