I used to care more when players committed to a school and stayed. But nowadays with NIL and all about money I don’t care as much.
It does still matter so I’ll post some things, but not as much as used to.
When players commit its not a long term one for some. Hard to get wrapped up in a player who might be a one and done. If they stay they can become a folk hero like Stutsman for example.
In NFL they at least keep drafted rookies 4 years and have a 5th year option for 1st rounders. In college its 1 year and then give more money (if good) ti keep for another year.
