Yup, those 2 schools sold out to stop run but sacrificed pass D to do so. OU stopped the run yet didn’t have to sell out thus maintaining pass D integrity.

I like Toby too but he is over the top cartoonish on the radio call. It's awful.

All those other things are very positive. I don't believe this type of offense is a sustainable complement to the defense. And I'm sorry but passing 3 times in a row while going 3-and-out on your first series is inexcusable.

I’m 100% with you. They can’t tell me we don’t have any RBs to run the ball. Redshirt is mostly a non issue now this late in season. Maybe they didn’t trust them with a turnover in an important game?

But even if we had run Mateer that would have run clock. Heck, even kneeling 3 times in 3 possessions would have run minutes off clock. If not mistaken even Hawkins (QB) is clear to redshirt and they could have used him with Mateer to run. Plus could use Kanak as a RB. I was screaming about it!

Having said that he likely didn’t feel those were good options. And Mateer is really not a good QB. I think Hawkins would be better. Now oir worry is Mateer coming back and we’ll still have Hawkins plus our incoming top QB. Does Hawkins leave (legacy) if it looks like Mateer stays and gets job?

I also think changing OCs can help yet hurt. Could lose some good recruits. So even if we get a better OC he might have less weapons. Plus have to install another new system. Then you waste another year of defense.

I know Arbuckle has struggled but another year he might be better and with more weapons and stability in offensive system. Plus maybe Hawkins becomes better and starter. Or the true freshman. Its really a dilemma.
