The way the game started I thought we would run rule them today.

This is a challenging year due to lack of pitching. Today is about as good as it gets. Our bats have to be active to win. And even then plus after the way baseball team choked 2 games away we made it a bit dicey in the 7th. I was hoping we didn’t walk that last batter (even though she had hit 2 HRs today) because that woulda brought tying run to plate.
I do think having our pitching coach back is huge and she pitched a good game. Had those 2 single HRs in 2nd but was able to control their bats all game.

Another note. We knocked their starter out in the first and LSU relieved her with their ace. Prior to today we had no answer for her. Giving us another game of looks vs her and we took advantage. If we meet in conf title game we will now have extra bats vs her.
As it is LSU was able to steal a game so they will be happy. We still have some tough series ahead vs some great pitchers.
