1952 All-American Buck McPhail is one of the greatest FBs in OU history. Buck paved the way as lead blocker for Billy Vessels to receive his '52 Heisman Trophy. He was also a punter averaging 39.8 yds. '50 national champ as a soph.

For the better part of four months I've been researching and learning about the beginning of @OU_Football. From the exact spot where the idea of Oklahoma football started to the stories of the players from the first ever team in 1895, I did my best to tell the story of Team 1 in OU football history. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

His injury before the 2009 CCG vs Florida cost us a title. No one will ever convince me otherwise. He was so good.

That was an outstanding contribution!
I loved how he was not nervous and raised his hands to the crowds during timeout.
And I love the old telecasts! No cluttered screen, just pure football. Announcers just telling the story as it unfolds.
Thanks for posting this!!
