I think he saved job by getting to playoffs. And maybe Fears comes back to hone skills? He’s a HS player who reclassed, another year moves him to top of draft.

And he likes Moser so if Moser stays maybe he comes back?

I must say, he made several mistakes during the season. Had a great/perfect 12-0 pre season. But they struggled to close games out.

On the other hand the defense down the stretch and last night was supreme. That comes from coaching. Offense is coached too but we struggled to make shots and had too many droughts.

My guess is he’s safe for at least a year. However, he may want to move on if another school buys him out. He can go to another school in a lesser conference and probably win more.

The admin needs to re-imagine OU Basketball. Firing Sampson was a mistake, then the Capel hire and everything afterwards got Joe C shook. "Safe hires" is not the way.

We will need to invest in more NIL for the program to take another leap. Fears will be gone and we have some pieces but need better players, which we’ll have to pay for
