The Thunder are 21-2 since the All-Star break, winning their third straight game by 30+ and improving to 63-16.
OKC beat the Lakers 123-87.
Thunder margin of victory in their 6 game win streak:
18 PTS
11 PTS
14 PTS
43 PTS
35 PTS
36 PTS
The Lakers didn't lead for a single second in either of OKC's wins over them in the last 5 days
Update: The Thunder have become the first team in NBA history to win 3 consecutive games by 35+ points. Greatness.
SGA sat the full fourth quarter for the 25th time this season. That’s 38 percent of the fourth quarters.
Still averaging 31.4 points per game.

Granted, the Lakers roster was decimated last night but this is INSANE.

Playing vs bench can be harder than starters sometimes. They want to prove themselves for potential contracts. They take more risks too.
I made an article on the rant board a few weeks ago showing that Lakers got more than double the FTs over the past 5 years compared to the 2nd team.
And last night somehow all these bench players were getting calls against our starters. Lakers show 31 to our 14 last night. This shows you the lengths the league goes for Lakers. It was the same in our other recent Lakers games. Adou Thiero from their deep bench had 10 FT attempts lol.
Of course it doesn’t matter in blowouts but if you look at their season they were gifted so many games by having way more FTs.
SGA by comparison took 3.
Anyways, this team is starting to gel at the right time. Win tonight vs Clippers and we secure home court for playoffs.
JDub rested last night too, and Ajay got the start. And McCain off the bench scored 15. Joe had 18 and wiggins 10. Even seldom used Carlson had 8. Cason had 3 more steals he’s a menace. Dort had 4 steals.
On the pregame the local affiliate thats will be gone after season showed his name as Lou Dirt. Seems intentional lol

They just keep plugging away
Don't take this excellence for granted, OKC fans. Third straight season as the 1 seed in the West.
Some NBA franchises/fanbases would kill to win at that level for just one season.
And the Thunder did it again this season despite another year with tons of injuries.
Teams in NBA history with 64+ wins in back to back seasons:
90s Bulls
2010s Warriors
2020s Thunder
Thunder improve to 64-16.
7 straight wins.
8 straight wins over LAC.
Clinch the #1 overall seed.
Chet: 30 PTS/14 REB/2 STL/4 BLK
SGA: 20 PTS/11 AST/1 STL/1 BLK/1 FT
JDub: 18 PTS/6 REB/6 AST/2 STL
Joe: 21 PTS/4-7 3PT
Next up: Nuggets in Denver on Friday.
Chet tonight:
30 PTS
14 REB
5 AST
6 STOCKS
10-13 FG
+19
In just 31 minutes.
Teams to be the 1 seed 3+ seasons in a row
80-82’ Celtics
84-88’ Celtics
82-90’ Lakers
96-98’ Bulls
08-10’ Lakers
15-17’ Warriors
24-26’ Thunder

Hardwood Paroxysm
@HPbasketball
Yeah I said this to someone close to them the other day. Presti didn't build "Light Years." He built redundancies and contingencies. If Chet didn't work out, they had the ability to add rim protection. If they needed shooting, they have Joe OR Wiggins OR Ajay OR McCain.
The picks mean that if something turns sideways, they can either draft a replacement or use the picks to add that component.
If they can't retain certain guys in free agency, they have means to create flexibility.
It's plan after plan after plan. He left himself all the outs.

Scenario 1: The Nuggets want to play the Rockets in the first round - and they tank for the 4th seed
Scenario 2: The Nuggets want to avoid the Thunder in the semis - and they play for the 3rd seed
Scenario 3: The Spurs want to beat Denver to drop them to the down to the 4th seed
Scenario 4: The Lakers want to play the Rockets in the first round - and they tank for the 4th seed
Scenario 5: The Lakers want to avoid OKC in the semis - and they play for the 3 seed.
Sunday is going a sh*t show
