We seem to treat mid week games as practice without too much concern. If it helps for weekend games great but these games can help pad records and stats for end of season placement too, so its a bummer.

Toby said Tockey has ankle injury - glad it’s not a knee ligament. Hopefully he can get back soon. He did get nicked up a few weeks ago at second and came back next game. Wonder if this aggravated that previous injury.

Dripped the rubber match 6-3. Gave up 3 unearned runs in one inning caused by error. Can’t do that and win in SEC. Missed Tockey too.

We just don’t have that closing game gene this year. A win woulda been huge for standings and trying for a home seeding.

He has not had the bats our other pitchers get. For some reason when he pitches our batters go into a trance and lose ability to hit. My guess is we get the other teams better pitcher too but still it sucks to lose this game as we had a chance to make hay and secure a top 16 home seed for playoffs. We must win games 2 and 3 to even have a sniff of a chance now

Thoughts from today. #Sooners give a game away with 11 free passes with BB and HBP. You can’t win games that way Kentucky had six total hits today. The sooners out hit them and scoring the five runs. I think the one somewhat positive for the office. They hit the ball really well today just so many of them right at guys. Hopefully that’s a sign of them coming out of a funk. We will have to wait and see tomorrow as they try to salvage game three in Lexington. This is definitely the worst series loss of the year.

Just dumb stuff. Toby mentioned it yesterday: zero errors on the stat sheet, but dozens of just boneheaded mistakes

Threw away another gem by Kyson last night. Team has lost 5 in a row. Had we won em we’d be in 4th place and hosting. Now we are just sputtering to the finish line. We lost our bats once SEC play started.
